This project began with a simple question: what if the ground could respond to us? I wanted to create an experience that made people pause, notice, and interact with the textures they usually overlook.
The first part - I just tried creating one ripple
For the second part- I mapped interactions using a very DIY touchscreen setup—seven touch sensors, which was the maximum I could check out from my school’s Equipment Room.
The third phase was a large-scale installation I had originally planned, using distance sensors and Adafruit LED lights. It’s still a work in progress, but it aims to expand the interaction into a more immersive, spatial experience.
