Inner Weather
Inner Weather
This three-part motion essay, a ‘felt sequence’, traces a personal shift—anguish, numbness, relief—each emotion embodied through hand-sewn costumes, deliberate gestures, and atmospheric sound. Shot across Kolkata and Asansol, I chose locations rich in personal and cultural resonance, styling every frame with ribbons, makeup, and fabric as visual metaphors for internal states. My childhood best friends Mehuli Panja, Suchetana Biswas and Elizabeth Bhushan modeled for this project, making each scene feel like a shared memory brought to life. I composed the original music to echo each emotional undercurrent and collaborated closely with Sky Papic and Timothy Fraher to refine the video editing and audio design. This work is as much about memory and mood as it is about image—each act stitched together to speak softly, honestly, and completely.
